Ask Dr. Thrower: Treating Darks Areas on the Face

Ask Dr. Thrower: Treating Darks Areas on the Face

Ask Dr. Thrower

question mark

QUESTION:
"I have a darker tone from below my nose and lower cheeks down, giving me the 5 o'clock shadow look. Should I treat just that area with a skin lightener or apply something all over to even out my tone?" - M.V.

DR. THROWER SAYS:

Apply Perfect Tone Cream (PTC) only on the dark areas on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Apply PTC to the entire face on Saturdays and Sundays to blend.

Once your skin tone has balanced out, you can transition into a maintenance regimen to keep an even skin tone: apply PTC to the entire face on Mondays and Thursdays.

Every four to six months, your skin will require a break from PTC. Take one month off from using PTC. Following the break, you can resume usage. This is to rebuild skin's tolerance and effectiveness of the treatment.

#ThrowerSkinTip: Always wear SPF 30 Face & Body Moisturizing Lotion during the daytime.
