Three Embarrassing Skin Problems Dr. Thrower’s Can Treat

Acne, Skin Discoloration and Shave Bumps, are among the top ethnic skin problems reported to Dermatologist’s across the U.S. Do you suffer from any of these 3 embarrassing and painful skin problems? If you do or know someone who does, help is available.

Far too long, acne and cystic acne were accepted as an unavoidable obstacle to be endured, often times forcing the victims to try “home remedies” that many times were unsuccessful at the least and harmful at the worst. Some “home remedies” can burn or discolor the face, leaving the person in pain and creating additional problems like dark spots in sensitive areas of the face.

Acne, left untreated will lead to inflammation and scarring, many times after the acne has left, a secondary problem pops up, dark spots or blotches. These are from excess melanin forming (post inflammatory hyper pigmentation) around the “injury site” of the acne, or cystic acne.
Although this is a complex problem that for many has lasted for many years, we do have treatments in our office that will help end a lifetime of suffering, many procedures are performed in less than one hour. One such treatment is Acne Surgery, this treatment is for mid- to high-level acne, uncomfortable cystic acne, teen acne and hormonal acne. Click here for related products.

This procedure consists of unblocking obstructed pores penetrating deep within the cyst, blackheads and whiteheads. We treat the acne with one of our best acne solution peels that kills the acne producing bacteria reducing redness and inflammation.

Just a few of the amazing benefits you will experience from this  treatment, faster acne healing, elimination of painful cystic acne a reduction in future outbreaks and  much smoother skin texture improving the appearance of acne scars.

Speaking of enjoying, many men enjoy a nice close shave either on their face or their heads, unfortunately a close shave has unintended consequences. But men are not the only ones who like that silky smooth feeling, women too love that clean skin feel. Both can suffer the effects of a close shave in the form of “razor bumps” or “shave bumps”.
Razor bumps are little infections arising from cutting the hair too short. By cutting a hair too close instead of growing out it grows back inside and becomes an “ingrown hair”. When the hair grows inside, the body sees it as an invader and sends white blood cells to the area to fight it off. That’s where the swelling (inflammation) comes from and will lead to bumps, pus, discoloration of the skin and possibly keloid scars.    A good practice is to cut your hair, no matter where it is on your body, while it is wet and always use a moisturizing cream or oil. Keeping  hair hydrated will help the razor cut more efficiently causing less irritation eliminating the need to shave multiple times.
If you are currently suffering from razor bumps and would like us to treat you in the office we do  offer a variety of treatments.
